UPDATE ON STORM DAMAGE REPAIR
The entire repair work could not be finished by
26th August as was announced earlier.
Rain obstructed the work many days.
However the roof repair is over—replacing the
broken skylights, gutter. The church is now
brighter because of new skylights and it will
be still brighter when the glasses covering the
electrical lights are cleaned from inside.
RBD will move next inside the church to fix the
ceiling. First they will fix the broken part of
the ceiling and wait until the Confirmation
ceremony (18th Sept) is over. Then the erection
of scaffolding all over inside, will be
done to facilitate the changing the lights and
cleaning the glasses and to paint the whole
ceiling. Cleaning or changing the carpet will
be done at the end. Probably we may need to
put up with some inconvenience between
20th—30th Sept when the scaffolding is inside.
The repair of pipe organ will be the last one

Caritas Australia
As a second wave of flooding continues to move through
Sindh province in Pakistan and more people are being evacuated
to makeshift settlements, Caritas Australia is asking the public
to give generously to our emergency appeal.
Our local partner in Pakistan, Catholic Relief Services, has so far distributed
shelter and hygiene kits to 3,601 households and is repairing water supply
systems and community infrastructure. We continue to provide
life saving aid straight from the Australian public to the communities in Pakistan.
By giving to us, you are giving directly to them.
